Exercise program for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers
Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers are often exposed to particular challenges. This can manifest itself in psychological overload, which can be reduced through analysis and appropriate measures. The University of Graz supports this important target group with health promotion services to ensure that our young researchers are supported in their scientific work.
In cooperation with VIBES Fitness, the University of Graz's workplace health promotion department is therefore offering an exercise program in a pilot project that can be used by doctoral and postdoctoral researchers at the University of Graz. An active leisure and break program can reduce the negative consequences of stress in the workplace and strengthen individual resources.
Offer: 5-part trial block - selection of five units from the VIBES fitness program.
Time and location: You can choose individually from the comprehensive fitness program and carry out the sports and exercise units either at the Leechgasse 25 or Südtirolerplatz 13.
Target group: all doctoral candidates, all postdocs, all researchers with a qualification agreement or development agreement
Registration: Registration at bgm(at)uni-graz.at (Romana Wiedner), with your uni graz email-adress and your phone number. We will forward your contact details to VIBES Fitness, who will then contact you regarding an initial appointment.
Good to know:
The offer is limited to 150 passes and is free of charge. The time of registration applies.
With the consent of the respective supervisor, employees can also take advantage of the offer during working hours. Employees with a time record are obliged to sign out of the time record for the duration of the unit.
This pilot project will be evaluated in terms of satisfaction and motivation to participate in order to determine whether and how it can be continued in the future. The participants will receive a feedback form from the workplace health promotion department over the next few months.
