OHM at the University of Graz is based on the pillars of occupational safety, workplace health promotion (WHP) and workplace integration management (see Figure 1). This ensures compliance with legal requirements (e.g. ASchG) and the requirements of recognized management structures in accordance with ISO 45001.
Under the pillar of occupational safety, the psychosocial risk management of mental stress (PRIMA) is the main element of occupational health and safety management in the sense of minimizing risks in the psychosocial area together with the safety specialists and occupational medicine at the University of Graz. The AePB is mandatory for all employers in Austria. In the area of workplace health promotion, measures are taken to build up resources in the areas of physical, mental, social and emotional health. Workplace integration management is covered by personnel and organizational development as well as occupational medicine. Occupational health management therefore focuses primarily on the first two pillars of occupational safety and workplace health promotion.
The aim is to carry out activities in the area of employee protection and workplace health promotion together, in which the respective activities are carried out in parallel in order to simplify processes and utilize synergies (see Figure 1).
