Development of a stress analysis in the university setting
High-quality workplace health promotion always takes into account the setting in which it takes place. The requirements and resources must be seen in relation to the university setting in order to be able to develop a targeted stress analysis and concrete proposals for measures. Therefore, in addition to the existing form of stress analysis, an instrument is to be developed that can map specific areas of stress in the university context.
The areas of stress could be, for example, competitive pressure, bureaucratic effort, stressful hierarchies or stress in teaching activities.
By analyzing past surveys at the University of Graz, as well as feedback from those affected and networking with other departments at the University of Graz, a stress analysis will be developed specifically for the university setting. The instrument will be tested in an Austria-wide sample before it is used for the first time in fall 2024 as part of the workplace risk assessment survey on mental stress.
