Psychological counseling for early career researchers
Junior researchers are often exposed to particular challenges. This can manifest itself in psychological overload, which can be reduced through analysis and appropriate measures.
Stress can manifest itself in areas such as
- Stress, exhaustion, risk of burnout
- Lack of appreciation and recognition
- Self-organization and time management
- Fears, such as fear of speaking, presentation anxiety
- Dealing with job insecurity
- Lack of work-life balance
The BGM develops accompanying offers for this highly stressed target group.
Completed projects:
Workshops on the topic of "Stress in research". Workshops in 2022 with interested young researchers revealed a number of areas for action, with a strong focus on psychological stress in the form of time and performance pressure, competitive pressure, isolation and a lack of career prospects.
Individual psychological counseling. In 2023, a psychological counseling service was launched in cooperation with BVAEB. This project has currently been completed and work is underway to continue it.
