Teambarometer" project funded by the FGÖ
As part of the FGÖ's funding priority 4.0 "Sustainability in Workplace Health Promotion", the project "Agile Leadership with Agile Tools" was funded, which is being carried out at the University of Graz under the internal name "Teambarometer".
The project aimed to support supervisors at the University of Graz in their management tasks. As part of the project, a feedback tool was developed which provided the opportunity to look at the needs and mental health of supervisors and their teams at all levels. The results were then discussed in a meeting with an occupational psychologist and possible measures for the team and the supervisor are developed.
The aim of the project was to bring "healthy leadership" and "agile leadership" more into focus and provide supervisors with concrete support. Good leadership in the sense of health-promoting leadership means that supervisors provide employees with essential resources in the workplace. However, in order to know which resources employees need, supervisors need information about the current situation in their team. This is where the feedback tool comes in and enables supervisors to respond flexibly to the current conditions and needs of their employees.
The feedback tool enabled supervisors to receive feedback on the well-being and cooperation in the team, as well as indirect feedback on their own leadership behavior. In this way, further steps can be taken to improve team well-being. The use of the feedback tool was also accompanied by an interview with the occupational psychologist, during which the application, feedback on results and recommendations for action were discussed. As an option, supervisors could also take advantage of coaching via the BVAEB. The main focus here was to ensure that the measures are prepared in such a way that they represent a practical benefit for supervisors and can be used in the long term.
